Kimi Ryokan charges per individual, not per room, as is traditional in a Japanese ryokan. Please refer to our charge for each room type.

Room Types

Kimi Ryokan offers 4.5 mat tatami rooms, 6 mat tatami rooms and also has one 8 mat tatami room.

Check in time is from 3:00 PM (15:00) until 11:00 PM (23:00). Please contact us in advance if you will be arriving earlier or later.
Check out time is 11:00 AM (11:00).

Reservation are accepted up to six months in advance.

No advanced payment is necessary to confirm a reservation at the Kimi Ryokan

Kimi Ryokan does not require advanced payment to confirm your reservation.
Once you receive your booking from the Kimi Ryokan, your reservation is fully confirmed.
Please pay at the front desk when you check in.

Ryokan Gates Locked .

The ryokan gates are locked from 2:00 AM (02:00) to 7:00 AM (07:00) . As Japanese ryokan are family operated, this is a traditional practice. If you need to leave earlier for any reason, please let the front desk know in advance. There is a back door you can exit from, but can not re-enter.

Cancellation Charges. 

For cancellation two days before check-in date we charge a 10% cancellation fees. For cancellation one day before check-in date, we charge a 20% cancellation fee. For cancellation on date of check in, we charge a 80% cancellation fee. If there is no notification at all we charge a 100% cancellation fee.

Dear Friends and Patrons of the Kimi,

Following the earthquake and tsunami of March 2011, the Kimi temporarily suspended charging the 5% tax the government levies on all rooms  in response to the disaster.
Due to recent tax office directives, we will be resume adding this tax to room cost from April 1st, 2012 on all rooms. This means that all room charges will be subject once again to the 5% Consumption Tax in addition to the cost of the room.
